About Me

My name is Jessica Duke and I am a Psychology Graduate of Old Dominion University. I pursued my undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Health and Wellness. I grew up in a Navy family and the traveling that I experienced allowed me to meet new people of religious and cultural backgrounds, experience new cultures and different ways of living, all while gathering insight on global issues that expanded outside of the United States. The integration of these experiences has helped me to develop and refine the skills that I use throughout my professional and school careers especially in terms of management, perception, and communication. I am outgoing, conscientious to those around me, open to new ideas or new ways of thinking, a dedicated worker, creative problem solver, and an overall good-natured person. Currently, I am obtaining my Masters degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and aim to further my education by pursuing a PsyD in the same field, so that I may apply my real-world experience and skills to help facilitate better more integrative work environments.

Some Travels

March 2020: Asheville ___________________________

I have been to Asheville many times before to visit family. This years trip I was able to immerse my friends and myself into the nature conservation and art sides that Asheville had to offer. This was also my first time touring the Biltmore Estates and learning about the Vanderbilt Family and their accomplishments.

Europe 2018 __________________________________

On spring break of 2018 I decided to visit my home in Germany. I was able to bring along my friend Ciyera and expose her to all the wonderful sights in France, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. I wanted her to experience the different cultures within each of these beautiful countries and how they have shaped the person that I am today. I absolutely love to travel and will answer any questions about the travels I have been on.

Neuschwanstein Castle – Germany

Strasbourg – Petite France

  • View from Notre Dame de Strasbourg

Salzbertwerk Salt Mine and Hohensalzberg Fortress – Austria

Rhine Falls – Switzerland

I have many more adventures that I could showcase, but I will leave some topics for face-to-face interactions to preserve an aura of mystery .
