Contemporary Organizations and Management

In Contemporary Organizations and Management, we learned about different organizational issues and our weekly assignments consisted of diagnosing company issues and creating solutions. We also completed a management issue project that examined all areas of a Fortune 500 organization and determined what changes we would implement to solve their management issues. Our group selected Tesla who, at the time, was attempting to release the new Model 3; however, there were production issues that caused the release date to be pushed back although some customers had already pre-ordered their vehicles with the expectation that they would receive it on a specific date.

The skills that employers are seeking that I gained from this course are: working in a team structure, obtaining and processing information, and communicating verbally. For our project, my group selected Tesla to complete our Fortune 500 management issue assignment. As a group, we had to complete research on our company as well as competing companies to create a solution. In addition to writing a report, we also had to present our findings to the class as a group.
