ENVH 301: Principles of Environmental Health Science

In this course, I learned how the field of environmental health is growing rapidly. This is with the help of human activities and different environmental component. All of these things are very important to public health. Principles of Environmental Health Science is an introduction to the chemical, physical and biological factors affecting human health and well-being. The emphasis is on the application of controls to prevent disease and maximize environmental quality. It also examines types of diseases and illnesses that result from environmental impacts. A few different topics discussed in this course is food production, waste, global climate change, air/water pollution, and toxic substance to name a few.  This course is very necessary and informative to me as a student pursuing a Bachelor in Health Servies Administration degree because it is beneficial to know the multiple causes and understand that these causes can potentially be clues to prevention options.
