CHP430W: Community Resources and Health Promotion

THIS COURSE is a writing extensive course focusing on community health research. Throughout this course, It was important that I grasp the knowledge and skills to help me better understand health promotion within communities and the health resources surrounding these communities. During this course, I had the opportunity to research,  learn and write about social marketing, the social cognitive theory, the transtheoretical model, the health belief model, and what it takes to become a certified health education specialist (CHES). Earning a degree in health services administration I believe all these topics are equally important to know and understand. As I reflect back on this course  I  think it helped me develop the necessary tools I would need while practicing in the career field of health services administration.
