Writing Reflection One
Before I started taking univ 150, I’ve always had trouble trying to either stay on topic, make spelling mistakes, and grammar mistakes. Its a constant loop of the same errors over and over again that won’t stop. I had no help, but now that I’m taking univ 150, I have a better understanding of how to properly write a college essay. I also finally got the help i needed from my teacher and the writing review sessions on campus.
In the beginning of the course, I’ve learned how to properly plan my essays before I start writing them. It helped manage to stay on topic when I wrote the rough draft and the final draft of my first essay. Iv’e also learned different ways to plan my paper such as the bubble, chart, and so on. When ever I finish writing my rough draft, the teacher made all of us in class look at each others papers and give our input about them. We also went to writing review sessions to have our teacher give her input about each paper. Even though my peers said I’m on topic, they still point out a bunch of mistakes that involving grammar and spelling errors. So far these errors are the only ones that have not changed sense I got here, which means I still have a long way to go. Lucky for me, my teacher marked them down on my rough draft so I can correct them on my final draft. But I still need to learn from these mistakes so it won’t happen again on my next essay.
When I got my first essay back i was actually shocked . I got a ninety on it. Its probably thanks to the number of journals I wrote over the time I was here. It helped me improved in explaining my topic and organization skills. So far my confidants is starting to boost thanks to these methods.
