Out of all of the assignments I have had throughout this semester in English, I believe that the Rhetorical Analysis was my best work, but also the hardest to actually do. I had never written a purely analytical paper before, and so I had a few problems that I would improve upon given the chance. Firstly, my biggest issue was making sure that the amount of my writing was more than the amount of evidence (citations) I was using. While I was able to add more of my own writing to the paper, I believe that I could have gone further. I also had some issues with my actual paragraph structure, as I have in the past. Sometimes my writing can be awkward or misplaced, and sometimes I just go off on a tangent. However, now that I am almost finished with the course, I have learned that this is mainly due to me not outlining before I start writing. Usually I just like to jump into writing because I thought outlines were unnecessary, but I have now learned that they do help especially with things like how the paper flows and if all of the ideas and thoughts are connecting.
