Writing the Argumentative Essay was harder than I had anticipated. I had written argumentative/persuasive essays before hand and honestly thought they were easy because I usually have a strong enough opinion on something to back it up. However, now in college, I realized that it goes beyond that thought process and actually has a lot of depth to it. While I am proud of my argumentative essay as a whole, there are some things that I would change about it if I were given the chance. Firstly, my introduction was not as strong as I would have liked it to be, although it was sufficient enough. However, introductions must be strong because that is the first thing that the readers read, and if the writer can not reel in the readers in the introduction, then they probably will not have their attention for the rest of the paper. Also, I did have some problems with putting in unnecessary information or sometimes just reiterating myself. This has to do with my thought process as I am writing, as sometimes I write how I would speak, which is usually informal. However, I do feel as though I could improve upon this in my essay by reading it out loud or in front of people so that they can point out the fluff.
