Image result for good deeds

Going out of the way to do daily good deeds for strangers is refreshing and can help people emotionally. It’s human nature to help other people and to show empathy. The smallest gesture can help someone that is having a terrible day or it can just show that person that they are valued. I have learned that just because some people don’t do good, it doesn’t put them in the same category as other people. There is no better feeling to make another human being feel good about themselves. The pictures that I posted shows the innocence of children and animals, its heartfelt to see children at their purest moments helping out homeless dogs.

I really enjoyed taking this test to see if I was able to be honest with myself about how I have been in my previous relationship. I think it’s easy to convince myself that I’m not a certain way, which in reality I really am. Also, I believe it’s hard to share with other people on how emotional I can get in relationships. I picked out the image above to have a little bit of fun with it and almost make fun of myself. After I took the questionnaire, I can see that I have a big attribute in being a passionate person. It can be taken as being a “needy” partner, which to me I am ok with saying that sometimes I do want more attention than other people. I love to love and the test made me realize that it’s ok to be how I am with just a little bit more self confidence, I can have a successful relationship.

Prejudice and stereotyping is something that I am passionate about, i have experience both of them because being a woman, hispanic, and a lesbian. The more I read or hear about people being hateful or violent to other people due to stereotyping the easier it is for me to be more open to people. Also in my adolescent of psychology course we are learning sometimes it’s not the child’s fault that they become hateful towards other people for being “different” than them. We don’t have the power to control others’ but we do have the power to be kind and be acceptable.

Learning about heuristics in social cognitive was considerably interesting, as I could apply to many life experiences. People have to make decisions everyday and all parts of the day, which learning about how to make proper decisions can come as a positive aspect in anyone life. This isn’t saying that people wont ever make incorrect inferences, but it does help out to identify if someone is using heuristics. I have been able to notice how easy it is to judge someone for just their appearance, and learning more about heuristics has helped me be able to be more positive when first meeting someone.
