TA5

Happiness to me is to be able to control one’s own emotional actions, especially when things don’t go the way they are planned. Some stress to me is healthy, and to be able to handle the harder stressful moments in life is beneficial to one’s happiness. I don’t have that kind of control in my life, but I do try to practice, I scored a 4.5 on my happiness test. I think depending on cultural expectation, the perception tends to change on if one has had a happy life. It can vary from the type of religion and how much the person had it in their life to having a complete family without divorce to how successful in life one has been. I think the test is too general to actually know if we are living a happy life. Yes or no questions don’t give much of an explanation to how happy people are. Spending time with Addie (my dog) does nothing but bring me happiness, she understands me and has been there for me when I have hit rock bottom. She reminds me that there is more than the darkness surrounding me, I have her love.

TA4:

Based on my frequency calculations the greatest tally I got was being happy and also being unselfish. People that tend to be happy are likely to help out other people and it helping others also is viewed by society as a good thing. Selfishness is rarely perceived with happiness, I do believe that there is a certain amount of selfishness that needs to come with happiness. It’s good to put yourself first in certain situations, but being able to balance it out.

TA3:

I’m pretty consistent with the big traits that I listed for myself. It’s something that comes easy to me and was hammered in my head when I was coming up. My mom still to this days makes sure that I am minding my manners, I also feel that a lot of the traits go hand in hand with each other. If it’s something that is inconsistent then it’s really not a trait that characterizes someone’s personality.

TA2:

The media does a good job scaring the public, they puts out that crime has increased throughout the years, but they do fail to report that crime is not necessary going up, just the reports. It can be easier now to report crimes than in the past, so we actually don’t know if the crime rate has actually increased or it has remained the same just more reportings. Regardless, I think that it’s a positive thing that there are more ways to report crimes, especially for women. We hear a lot of the times that crimes are increasing, but we don’t hear that the population of humanity is also increasing everyday. That keeps our percentages of crime almost the same.

TA1:Image result for Similarity leads to attraction

I am a true believer of “similarity leads to attraction”, it’s important to hold the same morals and also share similar physical characteristics and level of physical attractiveness. It almost “easier” to get to know someone when the two have much in common. I also don’t knock opposite attract, I just feel that it will take more time and patience when a lot of traits are complete opposite. The picture that I choice represents how similarities can lead to attraction.
