I had to score myself on the subjective happiness scale. I enjoyed this artifact because it made me assess myself. This was very interesting to see as I scored relatively high. I think happiness is feeling good about your life and yourself. I think the subjective happiness scale is definitely a good base for how happy someone is but there is definitely other factors involved. I think cultural expectations can definitely affect someones happiness because people may think that there life is supposed to be a certain way and when its not they may get upset because they are no meeting the expectations.

https://medicalxpress.com/news/2018-01-true-happiness-isnt-happy.html

I chose this picture because I think that a smiley face is a universal symbol for happiness and is what comes to my mind when I think of happiness.

ARTIFACT 4

The module 6 mirror taught me about behavior in different situations. I enjoyed this artifact because it made me take a look in the mirror. I learned that my behavior can greatly change depending on the situation. Answering the questions with the artifact made me realize that. I thought that this was a very interesting artifact. I chose this picture because it showed how I felt towards me acting different in different situations.

https://caribbeanpeopleblog.wordpress.com/2016/06/24/the-two-faced-nature-of-people/

ARTIFACT 3

The module 8 archive was about stereotypes. I enjoyed this artifact because it made me realize how common stereotypes are rather they are positive or negative. I noticed how when was picking the stereotypes and they easily all came to mind and it was not hard to figure out which stereotypes went with a certain group. Stereotypes are very common and even can affect how we view certain people. This artifact made me realize how much people unknowingly stereotype people. I also noticed that certain groups of people had more negative then positive stereotypes. I chose the picture below because it showed examples of common stereotypes.

https://sites.psu.edu/thenotsocommonplaceplace/2014/03/20/can-we-prevent-stereotypes/

ARTIFACT 2

The module 12 archive discussed aggression and what we view as aggression. I enjoyed seeing what I viewed as aggressive and then thinking about why I viewed each situation as such. This artifact showed me how people view aggression and can often justify someones aggression relative to there situation. I found it interesting how slightly changing how a situation was worded caused me to think differently about whether or not it was aggression. I chose the picture below because I believed that it showed how aggression feels.

https://sites.google.com/site/socialissuesoftoday/home/aggression

ARTIFACT 1

The module 3 archive was very interesting to me. This artifact was my favorite one because I found it very interesting and enjoyed looking at the results. This archive discussed two sayings about attraction, “Opposites attract” and “similarity leads to attraction”. I found it interesting that these were both very common sayings that were both extremely contradictory. When getting people to respond to the questions I found that both were believed by people. This led me to believe that both could be true but it was dependent on the people involved in the relationship. I chose the picture because I believe that I am typically attracted to people with the same interests as me.

https://www.pinterest.com/pin/757519599797298281/

ARTIFACT 5 The artifact from module 14 was related to happiness.
