Interdisciplinary Studies
IDS 300W has been a major influence on my journey into studying cybercrime. This writing-intensive course helped me sharpen my critical thinking skills and expand my understanding of how to approach problems from an interdisciplinary perspective. Through assignments like research papers and discussion posts, I learned how to explore complex topics by pulling in insights from different academic disciplines, which is essential when dealing with multifaceted issues like cybercrime.
The course also taught me how to use critical thinking to evaluate various arguments and research methods. This has been incredibly valuable in my exploration of cybercrime, as I can now approach the topic from multiple angles, considering not just the technical side but also legal, ethical, and societal perspectives. It’s helped me refine how I analyze and address cybercrime, giving me the tools to think more strategically and effectively in this area.
