After reading the article “Illegal Things you do Online” the following are the five most serious violations in my opinion.  First would be using unofficial streaming services as this is essentially theft and yet is a common occurrence.  I know many people that have no problem watching things this way online but those same people would never consider just going to a physical store and taking whatever they want so the same consideration should be given to the theft of digital content.  Second would be faking your identity online as this is fraudulent and I cannot think of any reason to do so that does not relate to malicious motives.  Third would be bullying and trolling which occurs a lot on social media in particular.  I don’t use social media for the fact that it does get so toxic with everyone’s unsolicited opinions on everything and it gets so heated that people often resort to name calling and being unkind.  The fourth serious violation would be collecting information about children.  This just seems super creepy and I personally don’t know how it is included in a list of things “illegal things your unknowingly do online” as I feel like it is common sense that collecting information on children is wrong and illegal.  Lastly I would say that extracting audio from Youtube is a serious violation.  It is similar to using unofficial streaming services in that you are taking someone else’s intellectual property and using it for your own purposes when it is not yours to do so with.
