After reading the article \u201cIllegal Things you do Online\u201d the following are the five most serious violations in my opinion.\u00a0 First would be using unofficial streaming services as this is essentially theft and yet is a common occurrence.\u00a0 I know many people that have no problem watching things this way online but those same people would never consider just going to a physical store and taking whatever they want so the same consideration should be given to the theft of digital content.\u00a0 Second would be faking your identity online as this is fraudulent and I cannot think of any reason to do so that does not relate to malicious motives.\u00a0 Third would be bullying and trolling which occurs a lot on social media in particular.\u00a0 I don\u2019t use social media for the fact that it does get so toxic with everyone\u2019s unsolicited opinions on everything and it gets so heated that people often resort to name calling and being unkind.\u00a0 The fourth serious violation would be collecting information about children.\u00a0 This just seems super creepy and I personally don\u2019t know how it is included in a list of things \u201cillegal things your unknowingly do online\u201d as I feel like it is common sense that collecting information on children is wrong and illegal.\u00a0 Lastly I would say that extracting audio from Youtube is a serious violation.\u00a0 It is similar to using unofficial streaming services in that you are taking someone else\u2019s intellectual property and using it for your own purposes when it is not yours to do so with.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
