EDUC 518 – Educational Research and Assessment
This literature assignment is a benchmark assignment created in conjunction with a previously assigned topical reference list and an accompanying research proposal PowerPoint presentation. This 12-page traditional literature review incorporates a minimum of 10 articles which aim to affirm the benefits and challenges of community colleges partnering with four-year institutions to offer bachelor’s degrees. This work outlined the benefits such as accessibility to higher education, affordability, and increased workforce readiness and also barriers such as institutional competition, faculty resistance, and curriculum misalignment. It has been determined that these partnerships are not without fault, but overall greatly contribute to the workforce and perpetuate student success.
