Engineered Meat

Can engineered meat be a global solution to the devastating effects of conventional meat on the environment?

Let’s start at the beginning…What is engineered meat? According to Wikipedia, engineered meat, more commonly referred to as cultured meat, is a form of cellular agriculture wherein meat is produced by culturing animal cells in vitro. By changing the way meat is produced for consumption, engineered meat has the potential to offset the negative impact caused by conventional meat production, on a global scale!Land erosion, deforestation, pollution, meat-borne pathogens, animal cruelty: these issues would cease to exist (in an ideal world) if engineered meat is explored and expanded for consumption. At the least, engineered meat can help offset the damage done to our natural resources.
