I completed the scale and I received a score of 3.0. I believe that most of the questions that are asked within the survey is mainly demonstrated for individuals who have a greater connection to social media than I might have. I am normally not that involved with social media therefore, I believe that was the reason for my score. I believe these questions are also geared towards the younger generation since they are more involved with the technology that surrounds the social media platforms. I believe that it also needs to clarify that platforms like TikTok should be considered social media and then the scored would probably be even higher since many individuals end up “doom scrolling” on TikTok and Instagram reels. I believe that different patterns can appear around the world because phone usage and social media usage is different everywhere. In the western countries kids have phones at a younger age and even TikTok in Asia is banned for young kids but not elsewhere so I believe that it is no surprise that different patterns do arise. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
