Cyber technology has changed the workplace by offering opportunities for deviant behavior. Through the misuse of company resources, such as utilizing company computers and internet access for personal things, employees can easily engage in non-work-related tasks, leading to decreased productivity and misuse of company time.  We can also see how through  digital communication cyberbullying, harassment,  and creating hostile work environments can lead individuals targeting their coworkers. Cyber technology has opened avenues for data theft and fraud, with hackers gaining unauthorized access to sensitive company information, resulting in financial loss and compromising the security of both the company and its employers. Cyber technology has definitely increased work deviance and it’s something that without proper policies in place it will create an awful work environment.
