This semester, I completed several presentational speaking activities for my Spanish learning, including conversation modules submitted through Flip. These activities involved recording and presenting spoken content to assist with pronunciation and communication with classmates. Throughout the semester, the presentational speaking activities posed both challenges and opportunities for growth. One of the main challenges I faced was with pronunciation. Initially, I struggled to pronounce certain sounds and words accurately, which affected my overall fluency and communication. However, with consistent practice and feedback from my instructor and classmates, I was able to identify my areas of weakness and focus on improving them. Over time, I noticed significant progress in my pronunciation skills, and I became more confident in expressing myself orally.
Looking ahead, I would approach future presentational speaking activities with a heightened awareness of pronunciation and continue practicing specific sounds that challenge me. I would also make an effort to incorporate more varied vocabulary and idiomatic expressions to enrich my spoken language. Seeking feedback from native speakers or language exchange partners would be beneficial in refining my pronunciation and gaining more authentic language input.
Overall, these presentational speaking activities provided valuable opportunities for me to improve my pronunciation, develop my organization skills, and gain confidence in delivering presentations in Spanish. The challenges I faced allowed me to identify areas for improvement, while the progress I made reinforced my commitment to continued practice and growth in my spoken language abilities.
