Interpretive Reading

Throughout the semester, I immersed myself in a wide range of interpretive communication activities, both inside and outside of class. At times, the vocabulary and sentence structures presented challenges in my reading comprehension. To overcome these difficulties, I utilized context clues and sought clarification from my instructor. Gradually, I became more comfortable navigating through complex texts and understanding the main ideas and supporting details.

I found the diverse range of topics covered in the readings to be the most interesting and compelling aspect of these activities. They exposed me to different perspectives, cultural insights, and real-life situations, which deepened my understanding of the Spanish language and the Hispanic culture. Through these readings, I gained a broader perspective on global issues and expanded my knowledge of the Spanish-speaking world.

My main takeaway from the reading activities is the importance of continuous exposure to authentic written materials in order to enhance language skills and cultural awareness. By engaging with a variety of texts, I have improved my reading comprehension, vocabulary acquisition, and critical thinking skills. These activities have contributed to my overall growth as a Spanish learner, enabling me to engage with complex written content and develop a deeper appreciation for the language and its cultural context.
