Laron Christian write up: The CIA Triad
What is the CIA Triad
The CIA Triad is a modeled guided line policy to protect information and security in an
organization. It has nothing to do with the government agency CIA , often to not confuse the so
it is sometimes called AIC (availability, integrity and confidentiality). CIA stands for
Confidentiality, integrity , and availability. Confidentiality is often related to things such as privacy
and secrecy which protect sensitive information from unauthorized parties. Integrity is
associated with trust and consistency. The data is transmitted with authorized access to avoid
breaching from outside threats. Availability is for trusted sources to access information to help
maintain system , hardware , and technical infrastructure that has sensitive information.
Each letter is an important ground principle in the cybersecurity field.
Authentication
Authentication is the process of identifying said person who wishes access to said information ,
accounts , and devices. This an important groundwork in cybersecurity as important and
sensitive information is steadily passed in the field and it is important that it is accessed by
whom it’s intended to be accessed by. Cyber workers have to authenticate who has access to
information in order to prevent any outside parties from attempting to access sensitive
information.
Authorization
Authorization is the process of verifying that said user has access to information. It is the
second part in keeping outside threats from gaining sensitive information. Authorization can also
specify what and how much information a user has access to as a user can only have access to
a certain amount of information.
Conclusion
In conclusion we can say that the CIA/ AIC is an important aspect in the cybersecurity field.
Other companies out sid field also use it as it should an important policy all companies and
businesses should use.
