ATA #2

In this weeks assignment I found the topic to be very unique and engaging. The assignment consisted of us picking out photos that depicted who we are. While it is easy to describe yourself as happy, sad, or mad we were asked to dive deeper into the meaning of our character. I think this assignment speaks more toward how we view ourselves, and what each picture reminded us of. The more we describe the events leading to the photo, the more we realize that the photo didn’t necessarily capture the moment entirely. As projected in a prior chapter we often use outside views as a basis to view ourselves and others. I chose the photo above as my visual because it was one of the pictures I used for the assignment. While looks can be deceiving this picture was taken on one of the worst days I had last year. This being a prime example of how everything is not always what it appears to be. Pictures are used as a referral to a past situation or experience.
