Out of all the Items to archive in chapters 3-6 I found chapter 3 to be the most interesting. This exercise consisted of us asking other people their opinion of whether they believe opposites attract or not. This chapter peaked my interest because of the topic and because it was very engaging. For the longest time we have been fed the theory, that what you lack you should find in your spouse. While I do believe that partners should complement each other, I also think having similarities can build a good relationship. The idea that it is wisdom to find somebody different from you defies logic. I believe that this very same concept is probably the reason why most relationships fail. It is okay to want something different and explore someone different, but you must find someone who has similar beliefs and values to you. This assignment taught me that we should educate ourselves instead of relying on old customs or ways. It also taught me that everyone has different thoughts and feelings about relationships. We shouldn’t be in a hurry to judge someone else’s opinions.
