Journal 6- Soccer is a very fun and entertaining sport. You dribble, kick, and pass this ball around to 10 other teammates and try to score as many goals as you can. Although players can take advantage of the referee’s poor vision, soccer is recognized by over a billion people worldwide. Soccer is an emotion it seems, people love and cry for soccer. It is some peoples’ lives.

Journal 7- The ways you can read a common college textbook are endless. There are plenty of different ways that one person can either cut time reading, read less words, or skip some parts entirely. For example, I “speed read” all the time. I browse a page while reading it at a fast pace. I get the information in my brain because I have an Eidetic memory. So I am very lucky for that. But usually a person should browse at a medium pace so that they secure all the information they need to know.

Journal 8- To have no food in the world is to have no life in the world. Food in different cultures is very influential on what the said cultures do in their everyday lives. For example, people who live in Mexico eat “Mexican” food. These can be tacos, quesadillas, and many more items. These are spicy and power the Mexicans through their day. Asian cultures eat Asian food. Teriyaki chicken is eaten in Japan and Orange chicken in China. In Asia, certain things are eaten at certain times or for certain events. For Americans, we eat everything at certain times and on specific holidays.

Journal 9- American Football is a very interesting sport that basically all Americans have a fond memory about. You typically play with 10 other teammates on a 100-yard field. You play on offense if your position is in the offense, and you play in the defense if your position is in the defense. The offense of one team and the defense of another face off and try to get a brown 3D-shaped oval across the field to the “end-zone” for a “touchdown”. Usually a team has to go 10 yards forwards from their current position on the field to get a “1st Down” and keep playing on offense. If the defense stops the advance of 10 yards, it becomes a “4 and out” and the offense either has to punt the ball down the field, or go for the extra yards for the 1st down. Football has many rules and many ideals for it, but in my opinion, it is a very, VERY fun sport.

Journal 10- The origin of soft drinks is something to know for the ages to come. For some odd reason, all or some of the original soft drinks were actually considered a medicine in the 1940s. For example, Dr. Pepper and Pepsi-Cola and Coca-Cola were three of the most original soft drinks in human history. These drinks at first were medicines to keep the body moving and to gain energy for the body itself. But in the later years after the 1940s, the CDC and other Federal Medicine Organizations ruled the “medicines” as “soft drinks”. This ruling would be the start to a new age of sugary drinks and overwhelming amounts of money for these “soda” companies. Pepsi and Coca-Cola are the most expensive drink companies in the ENTIRE world. On average, they make billions and billions of dollars a year and sponsor many different things across all aspects of life. These companies also buy restaurants or other companies in other industries in order to gain ground on one another. The soda business is very interesting and extremely hard to get into.

Writing Reflection Two-
Week 6 through week 10 has been quite uneventful for me in this UNIV 150 class, if I may be honest. We had just finished Essay 3 a few days ago, so there were plenty of random assignments to do in those weeks. But they were often boring to do. Some of the assignments include: Punctuation Learning, where we learned the correct ways to use the marks and everything else needed, MLA-APA-Chicago Activity was also another assignment where we used the methods for different articles in different subjects. Also, I didn’t really learn anything these weeks of UNIV 150, all I could have possibly learned about during the weeks 6-10 were maybe comma splices and shift in person correction. The shift in person thing meaning placing “you” in the sentence of my essays instead of “his or her” and “he or she” or “one’s”. It all works. That, I admit, helped me get better grades on paper. Presentation #2 was okay and I thought it was going to be nerve-wracking, but it was actually not as hard as it sounded. I just wrote on computer paper my major and all of that. I had some major confidence because of my Public Speaking class at the Tidewater Community College. Heading to the setup of WordPress, it was a little hard at first, but I got used to the template and learned how to submit assignments. The writing reflections in wordpress, including this one, are annoying to write, long, and boring, but I realize it helps me in the long run. The ten journals I had to write were interesting, but completely random. Overall this class is interesting, boring, but helpful.
