Exploring Culture

I believe that working in the textbook (CS) exercises and doing the Prepare, Application, Comprobar, and investigation sections did help me prepare for the quizzes, project, and conversations that were in the BlackBoard Learning Modules (Module 1: Who am I, Module 2: Who are you?, Module 3: What I have to do this week?, Module 4: How is my university?, & Module 5: Who do you admire?. I do wish I had a lot more time to do everything in textbook and repeat some of the exercises over and over again to better prepare myself.

I believe that these products and practices help me better understand values and attitudes in the Hispanic culture did a degree to at least get me more interested in watching and listening to more films, books (Graphic Novels), and other media in the language. I think challenge my worldview by expanding it a little more especially the assignment about sleeping after lunch practiced in The Republic of Santa Dominica. That I have a lot more to learn and see in different perspectives. It was a wake up call that helped me work through a stereotype and misconception.

Engaging in Communities

The value of, importance of, engaging in my immediate community and the global community is learning the customs and cultural both locally and internationally far out way the benefits.

Interpersonal Communication

I learned mostly from presentational learning and a little bot of the way of interpretive listening during the modules that focused of the basic vocabulary the most then inserting to sentences. I think doing more exercises from the CS textbook and few other things I would do differently outside the text as well. I believe practicing more has helped me be more rounded as a Spanish students.

Inside the class we learned about how to read a campus map in Spanish and use that info. for one of zoom communication Conversation videos. I believe I have learned a great deal from the Conversation assignments. I also learned from the vacabulary videos that were in the Learning Modules both in BB (Blackboard and in the Digital Textbook LingoLearning). Like a lot of other classmates I wished I had a more time to work on everything from the digital textbook assignments.

At the beginning of the course I had trouble with the Zoom recordings and the posting of them took a while . I wished I didn’t have to spend so much time on it. I figured out how to do it and saving it to Google Drive helped to have the time cut I half. The most interesting where the Proyecto and few of the conversation videos we did. Believe I have become more confident with every project and conversation we did.
