When you withdraw from a class, you are choosing to take a W rather than the grade you have earned. Many students withdraw from a course when they are not academically strong in a class and do not want a less than satisfactory grade to impact their GPA.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During a semester, there are 4 times you can drop a class:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li><strong>Before the semester begins: <\/strong>Through Leo Online, you can drop (and add) courses without any financial penalty. This is called the drop\/add deadline.&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>By the seventh day since classes started: <\/strong>You can go into Leo Online to withdraw from a class and get 50% back on the cost of the course.<\/li><li><strong>By the 10th week of the semester: <\/strong>You will not receive any money back, but can still withdraw from classes through Leo Online.&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>After the 10th week of the semester: <\/strong>You will need the approval of your instructor, department&#8217;s chairperson, and the dean before being able to withdraw from any courses.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>I hope you learned what it means to withdraw from a class! <br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The last day to withdraw from fall semester courses is November 5th.&nbsp; Do you need to withdraw?
