{"id":384,"date":"2020-02-11T16:41:25","date_gmt":"2020-02-11T16:41:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.wp.odu.edu\/first\/?p=384"},"modified":"2021-09-07T17:58:13","modified_gmt":"2021-09-07T17:58:13","slug":"living-with-your-results","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.wp.odu.edu\/loop\/2020\/02\/11\/living-with-your-results\/","title":{"rendered":"Living with your results"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>College failure can and does replicate itself, and very often the constant factors that caused the primary failure can cause a second or even third.&nbsp; There is an illusion that bright students can\u2019t fail, or that students that did fail didn\u2019t \u201chave what it takes.\u201d Students who did fail in college, this is simply not the case.&nbsp; I have had clients who graduated from top high schools, took many AP classes, had a high GPA and stellar SAT scores, and still failed in college. &nbsp;While the reasons are many, they either one amount to something happening during college, or a key action not happening prior to attending.&nbsp; If a failing student isn\u2019t helped at the right time, in the right way, they may never see college success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main take away is that you must learn to live with your\nresults and accept the results for no matter what they are.
