I can tell my computer is safe by doing periodical computer clean ups and checks using AVG app. It’s a firewall and virus checker that you can get to make sure that your computer is safe. I usually will do this every few weeks a month being the longest. Its also good to know your way around the internet and distinguish what sites may or may not cause a risk to your PC. For example, I personally make videos and I will need to download things like music and videos will editing. When I go to these music downloading sites, they are usually filled to the brim with ads that could potentially give you malware if clicked on. So, what I do is after I download these files, I scan my computer using AVG to make sure that nothing was downloaded without my knowledge.

Now when it comes to how computers have made the world safer, I believe it has helped spread information such as warning people of disasters or how to protect yourself against viruses.  A great example of this would be the information on how to protect yourself from COVID-19 and the reports of shootings in an area and people being warned and advised not to go to said area. I also believe computers have also made us safe such as security systems in homes or cameras all around stores or communal areas. I believe computers have done much good though with good comes the bad.

Computers have made us unsafe in a variety of ways. It is a way for people from foreign or domestic to steal your information that’s you’ve provided online. People can hack and steal money from you. I think the biggest problem is the ambiguity of those who do these crimes because if they do it once and don’t get caught it is almost impossible to catch them. So they could continue their crimes for a longer amount of time.
