My study habits for my statistics class right now are very limited. I do all of the questions he gives us and if I get them wrong I look at the notes to try and figure out how to correctly do the equation. In class I write all of the notes down and do all of the example problems given. While outside of class, I do all of the homework assignments and overlook the formulas. Although for chemistry lab and lecture I do attempt to study outside of class. I have gone to the tutoring session, done study guides, completed the notes, listened in class, and even looked over all the notes on my own. For sociology, I have been studying outside of class. I take the notes needed in class and then go home reread those notes I took and or make flashcards. Now though for English, I do not really study outside of class. I read the articles she gives us to discuss but that is about all I do outside of class for english. For History, I really attempt to take notes but I get lost when she is talking as well as she does not really give us notes to go off of. Outside I also tend to read the articles she gives us to go along with what we are learning, but for studying I never really have anything to go back to read over. I am doing outstandingly well in English class. I believe this is because I love to write and that is so far all we have done. I have participated in the work and class discussions and as well as her way of teaching suits my way of learning.
I am struggling in Chemistry both in lecture and lab. Some things to start to help me study better would be to find people to study with, make flashcards and review the material a bunch of times. I plan on now trying to study at least 30minutes-1 hour each day to grasp all the concepts I need to know. I need to spend more time on all the concepts. I have not understood any of them so I will need to make time to go back to view what I did not comprehend. I was not at all systematic at all towards my studying but now I will be working hard to focus on it all. I have already been to the Chemistry building tutoring but I did not feel very welcomed and or helped. Yes, I am struggling with the motivation to study for what needs to be completed when studying. All of my confusion I will be going to the professor to speak with her about what she thinks will help. Reading over the study guide really helped a lot. It did not work to start studying only a couple of days before the test. A technique I could use inside of the classroom would be to make sure I go to class prepared. One technique I could try to help me better understand the material outside of class would be to find a study group.
