What is Maslow\u2019s Hierarchy of Needs?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Psychological needs are things that we need to survive. For me, it would be news and communicating with other people. In a world full of information, one must know their surroundings. Otherwise, they will be left out and not understand any threats that can potentially put them in danger. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Safety needs are about security. Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention systems, and antivirus, are needed to protect my family. Additionally, I would love to put a tracker, Fitbit, and other safety devices on my family to keep them safe. It may be low level, but it must be protected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When traveling or going away from home, it can be lonely. Using technology to communicate with loved ones is an effective way to feel missed. With software like a gallery and devices like a polaroid, it can capture moments that made one feel at home and loved and all the good things in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Esteem needs are things that can make one feel accomplished. For me, it would be applications like cloud, VSCode, Github, Canvas, and other essentials for school and miscellaneous stuff. They make me feel accomplished once I finish an assignment on Canvas when I earn a badge for solving a problem, when making a commitment to Github, or when organizing my files.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For me, self-actualization is balancing reality and the virtual. Some things can be done in real life but not in virtual life, and vice-versa. For example, fully utilizing existing tools can be self-actualization when knowing when to use the right tools for the right job.
