INTERNSHIP OBJECTIVES

I want to get my feet into the real world and start my cybersecurity career path. This internship will shape my future and teach me valuable things I will use forever in my career. I also need this for my last credit to graduate from ODU with a BS in Cybersecurity. The experience I gain from this will further help me in getting a full-time cybersecurity job when I graduate.


WORK EXPERIENCE

Position: Cashier/Customer service operator

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide above and beyond customer service
  • Teach and train new team members about day to day store operations
  • Maintained a professional and clean work station. Made sure other cashiers’ workstations kept clean and professional work stations to follow store standards
  • Maintained an accurate count of cash and the amount in the cash register twice a shift.
  • Provided support and guidance for consumers with excellent knowledge of store goods and services as well as solve customers’ issues and complaints whatever they may be.

Position: Lifeguard and Pool Attendant

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain PH and Chlorine levels at safe levels for children and adults to swim in.
  • Watch over the swimmers in case someone needs to be saved from drowning.
  • Teach new employees how to maintain pool levels and what needs to be done daily in order to keep the pool healthy and clean.
  • Provide great customer service when the pool is not safe to swim in and work hard for the levels to be swimmable so the customers can enjoy a nice summer day.
  • Clean around the pool and pick up any trash or recyclables that may end up on the street, pool, or ocean.

EDUCATION

Currently at Old Dominion University pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Cyber Security

BS degree in Cyber Security, Old Dominion University (August 2019 – Present).

  • I have completed 112 out of 120 credits for a BS in Computer Science.  

Personal Skills

  • Experience with Linux, Ubuntu, C++, kali
  • Experience at home troubleshooting personal and family computers using Windows 10 and at school troubleshooting computer systems and concepts for cybersecurity.
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • I am an extremely hard worker who learns fast and will take notes in order to perform at the best capacity possible.
