For this assignment, I created a social media persona that captures the essence and excitement that comes with being an Eagles fan. As a lifelong fan and as someone who is passionate about the team, I wanted to bring that same energy and excitement to my Instagram account. I didn’t want to share just game moments; I wanted to make sure that I captured what it was truly like to be a part of the Eagles community. This persona focuses on celebrating the team, their wins, and the relentless energy of Eagles Nation!

I chose Instagram as my platform because it is the perfect place to show the energy of being a fan. My goal was to capture these moments whether that be the Super Bowl parade, repping BG, or just enjoying the atmosphere of being at a game. I wanted to bring others along for the ride and show them what it’s really like to be a part of something big. 

I started by posting a simple reel that showcased moments from the Super Bowl parade in Philadelphia where over a million of us gathered to show love to our team. The energy was wild in Philly and I wanted to capture that in a quick, fun post that showed some of the best moments from the parade. I then posted a series of other pictures and videos that showed my (and the millions of other Eagles’ fans) love and support for the team. 

In true Philly fashion, I did use a bit of profane language (although I did keep it tame compared to others lol) and all caps to show my excitement for an EAGLES WIN!!! It’s all a part of the raw emotion that comes with being an Eagles fan, we don’t hold back! The energy in Philly, especially during celebrations like the Super Bowl parade, is unmatched and what better way to show that than through social media?

Creating this social media persona gave me the opportunity to share the excitement, passion, and pure LOVE that I and millions of others have for this team and this city. We’re one of the most hated fanbases, but honestly, if you’re an Eagles fan, you’re automatically a part of a community. I mean—I wore an Eagles shirt to the grocery store and had about 15 different people yell “Go Birds!” at me. It’s all about the Eagles spirit no matter where you go! Through this persona, I was able to highlight not just the wins and the games, but the culture and unique energy that comes with being an Eagles fan.
