Growing up around sports, I’ve always seen how people connect through being a fan and even find part of their identity in it. It’s less about the team itself and more about the community that is built around them. Certain traditions or even game-day rituals become part of who people are, and social media has only amplified that connection.
When I first connected with my penpal, Mr. Woolcock, we realized that we were both Eagles fans. Even though we’re in completely different stages of life and on different career paths, that shared connection instantly made our conversations more natural and friendly. This experience is just a small example of how powerful fan engagement can truly be. That’s why my proposal will be focused on helping the Norfolk Admirals strengthen their social media presence. By creating more authentic, interactive, and community-driven content, the organization can build stronger connections with their fans. This will, in turn, create brand loyalty, as both the players and organization itself become more than just a team; they become a meaningful part of fans’ lives.
Recognizing the power of social media, I saw an opportunity for the Norfolk Admirals to not only increase its reach but to also strengthen its connection with fans. Through consistent, engaging content, the Admirals can create an online presence that fans look forward to being apart of.
Below is my proposed plan to enhance engagement among fans and strengthen the Norfolk Admirals’ social media presence.
