Hey everyone! My name is Lydia Wilson and growing up around sports is what shaped my love for them. I started playing basketball when I was around 5 years old and continued to play up until high school. My senior season, we ended up winning the state championship, the first ever at my high school for girls basketball.<\/p>\n

While I loved playing basketball, football was the sport that shaped my passion for the sports industry. With three brothers who all played sports, I spent a lot of time cheering them on. Football was a constant in our house, and with two of my brothers who played in college, I’ve spent a lot of weekends traveling for their games. Having the opportunity to travel to different colleges and experience what the atmosphere was like on game days (Alabama is still my personal favorite) made me realize that I wanted to pursue a career in the football industry, whether that be college or professional level. The energy, excitement, and seeing people come together to support their team made me love the game even more! With an undergraduate degree in Marketing, I hope to pursue a job that works on branding, fan engagement, or even player development.<\/p>\n

I created this blog by first choosing a template and adding in a header picture. I then wrote my bio and chose a few photos that related! I hope that this blog can become a space for me to share my thoughts about the sports industry.<\/p>\n\n\n
