Career

Linguist

I am currently qualified to be a Linguist at the Department of Justice for Vietnamese. I am completely fluent in Vietnamese, able to read and write, including understanding complex vocabulary, idioms, colloquialisms, and pertinent cultural references.

Language Supervisor

During the internship at the Department of Justice, I had a chance to work with the Language Supervisors and help them oversee the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring process for the new linguist. The job of a Language Supervisor required a lot of language and management skills. I think this is a great career path for me because I like to work with both languages and people.

Community Outreach

Even though this career path seems like it does not link much with my academic background, but during the Internship at the Department of Justice, I was also able to learn a little bit about the Community Outreach aspect, and I am really interested in coming up and manage plans, direct events, and coordinate the administrative functions of the community.
