Assignment Takeaway

I enjoyed assignment four. It was interesting to see where I stood when it came to my views on love. The questionnaire gave me better insight into myself. I generally care a lot about everyone that I let get close to me. That is evident in my past relationships. I also have a history of falling heads over heels and being blinded by my feelings. This questionnaire for me did not tell me anything that I did not already suspect or know about myself. However, I do believe that the assignment was beneficial nonetheless. I believe that some people do not know where they stand or what they want out love. Items like this can be far from the truth and can be easily altered, but it does give the individual helpful information. Sometimes I don’t like my results in some surveys and questionnaires, but I try my best to remain honest because lying only hurts yourself. The results from the questionnaire are not factual, but I still like the purpose it served.

For the first assignment, I wrote an essay on heuristics and the different types. I learned that there many factors that go into how we look at others in society. I already knew about the judgements that come from just looking at a person, but I was surprised that much more played into. There are multiple heuristics to be looked at and understood. The assignment gave a name to the actions of most of society. I have only taken child psychology and abnormal psychology classes, so this class and this assignment are helping me look at psychology from another standpoint.
