ATA 3

This is my nephew as a gender stereotype he experiences that people think he is a girl because he did not adopt the fact women are suppose to have long hair.

This assignment was about taking the time to read and examine different student blogs during their study abroad. While examining the blogs we were to focus on a theme or multiple, throughout the text book and discuss the differences within the blogs. During this assignment, I learned a few things. I learned that men and women have differences. One difference is that women are a little more emotional.  Women may be a little more in touch with their feelings than men. On the other hand, men are more factual they will say things and not really consider how they feel. I also noticed they have some things that are in common like accepting the fact of fear or anxiousness. This was personally relevant to me because it helps me keep in mind what to do and not to do. To keep in touch with something I’ve learned in the past, the stereotype that America has set on us has made us who we are. The things we learn that is supposed to be the “right” way has reflected upon whom we want to be.
