During this assignment I was to review the Developmental model of intercultural sensitivity. After reading and reviewing, I needed to determine which stage I was in from the developmental model and discuss why I believed so. The stage of intercultural sensitivity that describes me most is acceptance of differences. I do agree that when dealing with other cultures, I accept but do not fully agree. This picture is representation for the Afghanistan party. An example of me in the stage of acceptance of differences is me engaging in an Afghanistan family party. Instead of immersing myself fully in the activities, I sat and watch and accepted them but not fully agreeing with them. I learned more about myself, that I should learn how to be more open-minded toward others cultures. I should be more open to enculturation around me and within my friend group. The assignment also showed me more examples of subjective elements of culture. Which events fall into which subject.
