Graduation Picture: This was the day I graduated from a community college.
The most important life values relevant to career pursuits are time, competition, and change. Time is an important value simply because it is important to the person above. Having an emergency isn’t important in America because your professional life should be the most important emergency you have. For example, I lost my job for being thirty minutes late because my car broke down. Next, is competition because as a woman in a world with powerful men, competition isn’t really a choice. A personal example is while I worked at Walmart a woman asked me for a male associate because they are more qualified to help her with technology. Lastly, is change. Change has made its way into lives making people believe change is better. For example, my family pushing me to go to a four-year college. My mother told me that “you going to college is the change our family needed.” “Change will make us rich.” “A four-year college is the only way to pay for the things you want and need.”
