What I have learned from my previous assignment are as follows. From the assignment pertaining to Pay It Forward from module 11. What I learned from this particular assignment is doing something from your kindness of your heart can be so beneficial for you and the person who is receiving this type of kindness. In this particular assignment I was task to do a deed and speak on the reaction of that person who received the deed and how I felt about the deed I had done. What I also learned from this assignment is the smallest type of deed can make someone feel so special and a sense of a stranger is caring about me when I am at my lowest point. This was shown from one of my examples I stated in this particular assignment of me paying for someone few groceries when it seem they were having trouble with their debit card and I didn’t want to to see this woman having to put her items back so I step in to pay for items. And the last thing I learned from this assignment is helping hand from a stranger can get along way in life. When it comes to something else that I have learned is from another course I having taking is something you might think is so small and not important can be something big and important to someone else. From paying for someone groceries to donating some old coats and clothing to people who are less fortunate then yourself. This assignment was personally relevant to me because I got to see people reactions when they received my kindness of doing a deed for them without them knowing that was so gratifying to see the smiles and the happiness on their face. From one of my examples of awarding my niece for her educational excellence in school when I surprised her and took her to get a snow ball and explaining to her the reason behind this reward/deed.

I chose this picture to basically say this was what that assignment was all about helping someone that was in need and also putting a smile on someone face is so gratifying.

What I have learned from my previous assignment are as follows. From the assignment pertaining to Behavior survey and Attitude survey this was from Module 7. I learned about my attitude toward certain situation and questions that were raised to me in this survey for example 1. Students will speak out more during a lecture if they have read the assigned reading I answer a 4 for agree with that statement. I learned about my personal inconsistences that i may felt with some of the questions that were asked in the surveys. One of the questions from the behavior survey that bother me was the question “I take time to engage in regular physical exercise several times a week” which I answer no. This really bother me because I know the importance of some type of physical exercise is important to my health but me putting it off is very bad. Lastly what I learned from this assignment is that when it comes to a behavior I know that is needed to be done I might put it off until the last second before it is done and deal with the ramifications whatever they are. I can apply this assignment to another experience I know that I have to wear and use my c pap machine every night but I sometimes be lazy and not put it on because either I forget or just be stubborn and not put it on. By those actions I wake to a mild headache base on my decision on not wearing my c pap mask. I can say this example correlates by knowing what is right but not doing it and suffering the consequences in the morning with the headaches. This assignment was personally relevant to me by making me aware about some of my attitude and behaviors good and bad that might need to be address to make me a better person. My example to support is I know should be back in church but since the pandemic church has been virtual but now church is back open for people to come back I am so complacent and stuck in just attending virtually. I going to have push myself to go back and attend in person.

My rational statement for choosing this image is because your attitude is works together with your behavior. When you have a bad nasty attitude it is likely your behavior will be negative. And in reverse negative behavior leads to a negative attitude and nonproductive attitude. And this image makes this you see that how attitude and behavior work hand and hand and how they are a two way street.

What I have learned from my previous assignments are as follows. From the assignment pertaining to my traits from Module 6 The Self Across. I learned about my traits and how they are revealed throughout my everyday life either at work or at home. Also, from this assignment I was made more aware how my traits can dictate how my day is going to be by one of my traits for example of being positive. I think with this particular trait by me having a positive attitude especially at work it makes my day less stressful and untight. I guess to corelate this assignment to another class I am taking is that a person traits and personality can tell you if you and that person are compatible or not. I would say this assignment personally is relevant to me by reflecting and looking at my top 5 traits that represent me in my everyday life and how those traits directly or indirectly effect people I communicate with on regular day basis. My example to support this statement is my trait of been thoughtful. There have many numerous times I have seen someone asking for a few dollars to get something to eat and I have hesitated not knowing if he or she was really going to use the money for what they were asking for. So, by me still giving them a few dollars and being thoughtful but also mindful of not knowing if that person is really going to use those dollars to get themselves something to eat or not.

My rational statement for choosing this image goes to two of personal traits of being thoughtful and compassionate and I think that both of those traits coexist with lending a helping a hand to someone that needs just a push when needed and I believe that is what I try to do when I feel this is needed.

What I have learned from the second assignment was how reflective photos of myself can have a profound meaning behind the photo from where it was taken at and who is in the photo. Also, I learned the importance of cherish those memories forever and never forget these important memories with your loved ones even if they aren’t no longer alive to recreate or cherish those moments. This assignment made aware that photos may fade away and be lost by memories can always stay forever. Lastly that assignment made me aware of some bad moments and events in my life that were captured by taking some good from those bad moments and not trying to dwell on that bad but look at the good times that were shared in the photo. I can apply this assignment to the most recent blog 3 post with how the connection of music and relationships can be connected. Certain songs can make you think of a particular loved one or a special event in your life. For example, in my assignment I mention the photo of my wedding day I can related that to the song that was playing when we walked down the aisle together as a married couple. This assignment was relevant to me because it gave me an opportunity to reflect and relive some high and lows moments/events in my lifetime. From the picture of my wife last day of chemotherapy for breast cancer to the one of the last photos of my father and I before he passed away. So, in a way this assignment was kind of therapeutic for me to relive these moments for this assignment, so this is why it was personally relevant.

My rationale statement is that memories never fade away as much you try to place them away, they never leave you as long as you cherish them and reflect on them when needed. I chose this particular image because I believe this is so true in my case much as I want to place away the bad memories, they will never fade away much as I tried to compartmentalize them.

What I have learned from the first assignment was that how different heuristics are used and demonstrated very regularly in our everyday lives. And in some cases, how we use heuristics can be unbeknownst to us. Lastly from the previous assignment I learned that heuristics can really clouded your judgement and decision making a lot. too. I can apply this to another course I am taking physiological psychology in this course I am learning about different types of approaches and the two approaches that I think are relevant when it comes to heuristics is the applied approach and basic approach. With the applied approach this focuses on how the outcomes are applied to solving a problem and I believe that can be correlated with anchoring and adjustment heuristic. And with the basic approach which attempts to understand fundamental principles and clarify understandings without necessarily being focused on the application of the findings. I believe this correlate with availability heuristic. The previous assignment was personally relevant to me when I was making the decision on whether to on vacation after watching a news story about the cases of covid rising in that particular state which I was thinking about going on vacation to (representative heuristic). The visual image was what I was looking at when it came to determining where I wanted to take my wife for a well-deserved safe get away vacation for her school spring break.
