Through my and Neils communication, I learned the everyday tasks, difficulties, and experiences of a professional baseball player, which influenced the project&#8217;s path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We came up with this idea from our discussions concerning how much of a player&#8217;s work is done behind the scenes, away from what fans usually see during games. This made it possible to create a content strategy that draws attention to those hidden aspects and helps fans understand the way of life and thinking of a professional athlete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project I created titled &#8220;Inside The Bullpen&#8221; a digital media campaign. I created this to help fans to see the life of a relief pitcher behind the scenes by posting interesting and engaging information on social media. The campaign would emphasize engagement, storytelling, and authenticity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the main ideas for this campaign is the focus on authenticity. After talking with Neil Ramirez we figured out that viewers are becoming more and more interested in authentic, uncensored video that highlights the difficulties and benefits of being a professional athlete. Instead of using excessively manufactured or staged content, this campaign would try to convey an authentic perspective. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The goal of this is increasing fan interaction, strengthening the athlete&#8217;s personal brand, and creating a closer relationship between athletes and their fans are the objectives of this effort. The promotion makes the sport more relevant and helps humanize the player by providing fans with access to behind-the-scenes content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout the whole development of this project, Neil my penpal served as a great resource by providing information on what kind of content would be appropriate, realistic, and interesting from the standpoint of a player. His advice helped guarantee that the idea was based on the realities of professional sports, even though I was in charge of developing the campaign&#8217;s concept and structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This project shows the importance of sport communication in today\u2019s digital landscape. Athletes are more than just players now, they are brand ambassadors and content creators. Athletes&#8217; perceptions and fan relationships can be greatly influenced by effective communication tactics like this campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In conclusion this experience allowed me to apply the skills that I have taken and learned from the class so far such as media strategy, audience engagement, and professional communication. It also showed the importance of creating connections inside the sports field and using those connections to produce meaningful and great projects.
