The connection between music and relationships is very interesting because music preference is linked to value similarity to those that you build relationships with as well as social attraction, and I can see that this is very prevalent within society. I can also see this to be very prevalent in my own friend groups, because as ironic as it may seem I built connections with most of my friends by singing and dancing to some of our favorite songs that just so happened to be the same genre of music. I do share very similar if not the same values and ideas as some of the people that I am most closest to who also happen to have the same music taste as me.
