Choose an image you find attractive, well-executed, or related to your academic and professional interests, and analyze it according to DD Ch. 1: how does it elicit  an emotional impression about the author (ethos) and the user’s feelings (pathos)?

I chose this photo above because I feel that it relates to me both personally and academically. For the entirety of my life, I have always been an extremely organized person. I find this photo to be really calming and appealing due to my own way of organization. I find it easiest to stay on track when living and working in a clean and organized space. Personally, I am like this in my own home. There is a place for everything and I find that it helps me feel more relaxed. On the other hand, I also find it important to have originality in my own space as well and with originality comes flaws. I don’t mind that to a certain degree as I am human. Academically, organization is most important to me because it has helped improve my mental health, drive and motivation, as well as keeping me in good academic standing. I am extremely big on color coding and coordinating so that every subject or class has its own place and my work will never get mixed up into places it shouldn’t be. As for the reading in DD Ch. 1, it was interesting to read and learn how a designer will use different design techniques to attract different age groups and grab a certain group of peoples attention. The author discusses ethos for the speaker and pathos for the subject. As for the picture I chose, it helps me release endorphins due to the aesthetically pleasing organizational arrangement. I developed positive emotions because it helped relieve my anxiety and made me feel proud and confident in the way I do things. I believe that in relation to the author or creator of the photo, the author/creator gives me the impression that they themselves find comfort in organization in a unique and colorful way which is very similar to my particular style. Therefore, the author completely drew me in. I think this particular photo can have a target audience of people in my age group due to educational purposes. Items in the photo include binders, folders pens, markers, etc. As a college student myself, if I were unorganized this would make me want to take more pride in my work and become more organized.
