Choose an existing example of the client service project you’re preparing that you believe to be well-executed, and analyze it according to our readings up to this point: choose a segment of the reading and form it into a question for the purpose of analysis as I did with DD Ch. 1 above.

I found this page on the University of Virginia’s Department of English website. I found this page to be extremely well executed as directly above this page (Not pictured) it states, “Please read the page linked here for a summary of the new course numbers and how they apply to the major requirements. ” I left the page available for viewing if you care to click the underlined link. I enjoy this page with all of the course numbers because I feel it is extremely explanatory without being completely overwhelming with excessive detail. On this website, there are different tabs a student who is planning to declare an english major can click on for viewing purposes. Additionally, listed on this page, there is a dropdown menu located under “courses” where a student can selected with semester and year they are planning to enroll in these classes, especially if they are planning ahead. This page allows students to view different course numbers throughout different semesters. Something that I believe can be confusing when enrolling into Spring, Summer, or Fall courses is trying to figure out which classes will be available and for that upcoming semester. There have been a few times throughout my past 4 years in college when planning ahead I ran into issues with class availability. I think its safe to assume many students have ran into that road block at least once, its’ normal! On ODU Degree Works, it often times will show which classes are required for mine/a students particular major but will not always specify when exactly they will be available for enrollment. I think the way UVA set up the Department of English page is extremely thorough and helpful as it can be nerve wracking trying to figure out where exactly you need to be. On that page, you can click the exact semester and year you’re looking for with all of the information provided. Client service projects should be user friendly, straight forward, and accessible. An easily formed question may be, “How do I make sure all of the information I am providing to students about classes is all applied while also making sure the page is not overly wordy?”
