
Introduction to Information Systems
Students in IT 200T will explore an introduction to the major hardware/software components of modern information systems. Topics include introduction to the history of computers, numbering systems conversion, system and application software, networks, and the Internet. Additional topics include Information Systems and Systems Development Life Cycle, Introduction to Programming, Databases and Business Intelligence, Information Security, and Privacy and Ethics in the cyber world. Intended as a comprehensive introductory course to the Information Systems majors. The class also added on to my knowledge of the hardware of the computer and how it has changed over the years along with how malware has changed along with it.

An assignment from the class to research a top 100 company in the IT industry and give a report on them.
