The article, “Social Cybersecurity: An emerging national security requirement” shows how technology is advancing rapidly and the ways of war are changing just a rapidly. Social Cybersecurity is described as having the ability to understand and foreshadow how technology influences human behavior. It details how important social cybersecurity is because of how vital information is and how easily it can spread, the information can be about anything because the internet has everyone connected in ways that was unthinkable 20 years ago. Because of those countries can use that as a way to divide a country against itself and gain control without even having to fire one gun. This is why the ways of traditional cybersecurity are nowhere near enough when it comes to the idea of social cybersecurity, the article uses and example to describe the difference between the two traditional is, “humans using technology to hack technology” and Social is “humans using technology to hack other humans”. So it is important that whenever you see any information whether it be news or social media especially it needs to be fact checked before spreading it everywhere else.
