Cybersecurity is a very important field for the whole world. Billions of people are on the internet every day and cybersecurity is the reason why going on the internet and using technology is safe. Hospitals, police data bases, water systems and even planes are a list of things we fortunately have that needs cyber security to operate their work. To help stop cyber attack, we need to know the attackers motives. What does the hacker/attacker wants and why did he do it to a specific person or company. Thats why a job like Cybersecurity Threat Intellience Analyst is so vital for billions of people across the world. A threat intellience analyst’ job is to study tactics of attackers and to see how these attackers behave. Learning how attackers work can be so crucial so we can help prevent these attacks from happening again or to find a way for the attack to be less defective. 

Billions of people data and information is out there and letting the wrong person get to it can end in a horrible result. Threat Intellience Analyst’ are always a step ahead of attackers helping people with their information and data out there with different companies and businesses. Attackers can use other peoples information to steal their identities, sell the persons data to others and to gain financial benefits from it. Attackers are evolving day by day and the people in the cybersecurity field are top of that every day making sure the attackers dont get away with an easy attack. Symbolic Interactionism is apart of this process of a threat intellience analyst’. This helps the people in that career identify how attackers are promoting these attacks and different patterns in these attacks to determine how to predict them before the next one happens. 

Patterns, motivation and different strategies is an important thing to study in this field because this helps people predict next attacks or can help diminish a complete tactic to attack people. An example is phishing emails, this is when people email others about an award or benefit for them but in order to get the award they have to give them their information such as address,phone numbers and other things like logins for specific accounts. These emails are very tricky because some attacks are very believable and can trick people like the elderly and young people.  

Social science and cybersecurity go hand-to-hand as a cybersecurity agent uses human instinct and common sense to judge the criminals at the workplace.  As a security guard or a law enforcement use their social science education to judge who is trespassing abuilding or someone who is about to commit crime. Cybersecurity agents use their common sense to detect unusual activity and behavior to protect the organization asset.  Human unusual behaviors can be working unusual hours, financial issues, employee engaging in a relationship with someone who is a competitor to the organization and someone who addiction to gambling as well.

Cybersecurity agents also judged as a less of people with no feeling or slightly lacking very common behaviors can be misinterpret of their character.  Als there are software programed to detect unusual activity on-line, a real human being finally detects and determines who is the perpetrator of cybercrimes.  Cybersecurity agents field requires to analyze and detect unusual activity o an employee.  This activity can vary from web browsing, accessing to secure files, and distributing of the organization secure file.  Cybersecurity agents are also using unusual financial activity by the employee.  Such as large purchase or significant in liquid asset of an employee.  These activities certainly raise red flag to the organization.  Other serious concerns are unusual travel to regions which maybe restricted by an organization or relationships/connections to a competitor.  Cybersecurity agents have a huge responsibility of protecting an organization asset and must be very capable to understand the employee’s behavior and purpose.  In short-term applying social science education or experience comes in hand in this career.
