Essay 3

Towards the end of the semester, we were making good progress towards achieving our product goals. We established the fundamentals such as our marketing group, key functions, and monetization. This was where really felt that our project came together and summarized our entrepreneurial experience from the semester. Maria came up with a great design and name for the project AllSafe. I came up with some notes for the video presentation and we discussed articles that should be used for our academic research.

In terms of this semester as a whole, I felt I learned a lot of useful skills that I hadn’t had before. Applying the entrepreneurial mindset became something common that I began to use in other classes. Finding a problem, creating a solution, and establishing a purpose is a constant bit of information that I will carry with me.  Furthermore, I can’t stress it enough, but the group collaboration was the best part. Just being back in a group environment was such a refreshing change in my life. Compromising features, collaborating on ideas, and finding a solution were all very enjoyable things for me. I will definitely say though that this is impart to who I had as group members. I got very lucky with whom I was assigned which definitely made the experience the way it is. One thing that I am leaving this class with is took look into cybersecurity marketing or business. Originally, I was mainly focusing on federal jobs that pertained to cybersecurity. But, due to the things I learned in this class and the group collaboration that I got experienced, really made me consider an aspect of cybersecurity that I hadn’t before. I started looking into the company Splunk in their marketing and development departments due to feeling more comfortable with that type of atmosphere.
