Artifact 5
Module 12 archive item was based off of the video “Your Body Language May Shape Who You Are” by Amy Cuddy. I enjoyed the video and putting it inter perspective with y own life because I didn’t realize just how much a person’s body language can impact them throughout certain situations and in life. The video helped me consciously see what I was doing on the outside that could make me appear less confident, knowledgeable and even if I am looked at as being approachable or not.

I chose this photo because I am often anxious in social situations and find myself in this exact pose often.
Artifact 4
Module 4 archive item was based off of Hofstede’s 5 value dimensions. In this item I chose to compare the United States with Germany in each of the 5 dimensions. In certain categories, the United States score higher, like power distance, individualism and indulgence. While in the other categories of long term thinking and uncertainty avoidance, Germany score higher. The United States and Germany scored about the same on Masculinity. It was interesting to see the two countries I resonate with the most be compared in these aspects, and to see how truly different they are from one another.

These are the rankings for Germany and the United States in each of the levels.
Artifact 3
Module 8 was linking personality in certain contexts. I found this item to be interesting because I had just going through a similar exercise with my therapist. While doing this exercise I noticed that I do tend to change my personality depending on the situations I am in, and who is around. Sometimes I can be very blunt and honest about a situation, other times I just let it go and not let much get to me. I normally get blunt and very honest about a situation when I feel like I am being attacked or bombarded with information. I normally don’t talk about the honest truth about my feelings unless it’s with my husband.

Artifact 2
Module 5 item was focused on values of you and your parents and see if they line up or how different you are from your parents. I found that I was quite different than my parents while still holding some of the basic key values that they had. I had a lot of different influences growing up and therefore I feel as if I took some values from multiple people. I also learned that I value quality of friends over quantity and I know my dad believes in the other way around.

Artifact 1
I found this module to be my favorite because I like to really think and focus on the different things in life that make me happy. It could be something as simple as my husband brushing my hair after a hard day, reading a good book, taking a bath or it could be as far as doing something to help others, or making someone smile. The item also put into perspective that happiness and physical health can positively and negatively impact each other. While there are other factors that play a part these two can have an impact of some extent.

I chose this picture because reading in a cozy place with coffee or tea is one of my favorite pastimes.
