ARTIFACT 5

Module 11

Module 11 archived items were interesting because I thought there would be a larger difference in the connection between unselfish people and their happiness. After completing this assignment, I found that my ideas were wrong. When thinking about the people in my life I found that I didn’t matter if they were happy or unhappy within their own lives, they were still very caring and unselfish towards their loved ones.

I decided on this photo because many people I used for this assignment are within this one picture. My family are the first people I thought about when trying to seek the correlation between being selfish and being happy.

Module 6

This module was interesting to have to think about traits that I find within myself. Of course, people view themselves one way, but people from the outside looking in my view you another way. I think this assignment made me think about the view from both sides and I even got to ask family and friends what they thought to see if my own thoughts were similar to what they observe. I found that many of my traits were consistent. This assignment is something I will use throughout my lifetime when thinking about workplace skills when it comes to my career, and personality traits in my personal life.

This picture is a visual of my personality that I saw within myself and that other people saw within me.

ARTIFACT 3

Module 3

Similarities leading to attraction was not a surprise to me. I knew that I clicked more with people I could relate to and realized that my closest friendships and relationships are with people that I can relate to on many levels. This information also made me think about my romantic relationship as well. I thought about all the similarities and differences that we have. This information also stated that opposites attract. Being similar in many ways may lead to competition, however, when someone is the opposite of you that gives more opportunities for growth. Being able to learn things from the different relationships within life is imperative and is almost impossible if everyone you surround yourself with is the same.

I think this picture was a good representation for this assignment because it is a good explanation of opposites attract. Although we are similar in someways the largest difference that we have is that I am an extrovert and he is an introvert.

Module 7

Module seven activity focused on the idea of inconsistency. People may believe that two things correlate but may not always take the necessary steps that would result in positive outcomes in different situations. This inconsistency is put in place due to dissonance. This was one of my favorite because it made me consider my everyday decisions and ponder on why I may decide to do the opposite of what I know is right.

This is an example of my consistent idea that wearing a seat belt can help save lives in the event of an accident and actually wearing my seat belt.

ARTIFACT 1

Module 10

This artifact is my favorite because it required me to step outside of my conform zone. Oftentimes lessons are not properly learned unless it is hands on and this assignment did just that. I learned about social norms that are set into place. These norms are not written down in any rule book, but they are simply a given that people are supposed to abide by. For example, standing too close to people you do not know if something you simply do not do. It is interesting to see other reactions when these norms are broken.

This image was an example of the social norm or personal space being invaded.
