Hey there!

My name is Mark Wassef, I am a 25 year old Senior at Old Dominion University, majoring in Cybersecurity, I currently work for the State as an Accountant, as well. I was originally born in Kuwait, but my family is actually from Egypt! I came to to the US when I was 13 years old, and immediately fell in love with the state of Virginia. I know that my biggest passion is by far technology, I was absolutely obsessed with anything tech related as a child and it has certainly turned me towards it as a career.

During my free time, I enjoy going on walks, hiking, going to scenic places and roadtripping with friends. I’ll also occasionally hop on my PlayStation when I have the time to. I also love reading up on the latest and greatest pertaining to Self-Driving Cars, Robotics, Security, and anything Data related.

This last summer, I had the opportunity to do some research on the different innovations within satellite security that might be untaped, through the ODU DoD VICEROY opportunity, under the supervision of Prof. Kirkpatrick, this paper is linked on my homepage as well as my resume.
